365 - March 2017

Definitely lion this year,  I just hope that means we'll end March with spring. Poor Mother Nature is having a nervous breakdown, which we've caused :(

Things to look forward to in March:
- Like last year, not having to wear so many heavy layers to just go outside
- Lots of planning for upcoming Girl Guide camps and activities
- watching Melrose and Bella hopefully adjust to co-existing without destroying the house
- adjusting to Daylight Saving Time starting on March 14
- Starting to make summer plans, like camp, NFLD and Pittsburgh
- dig out the running shoes for some exercise 'out of doors'
- and more.....

*EXTRA* March 2, 2017 - Twenty of the world's top figure skaters spends two days in Kingston at a private pre-2017 World Figure Skating Championships training camp led by Canadian figure skating coaches Brian Orser and Tracy Wilson, at the Rogers K-Rock Centre on Thursday, March 2, 2017. The participating skaters come from Canada, France, Spain, South Korea, Denmark and the United States.

*EXTRA* March 08, 2017 - Those traveling home along Portsmouth Ave around the dinner hour in Kingston, Ont. on Wednesday, March 8, night saw the 20-30 protesters outside the Limestone District School Board Education Centre with signs stating that local schools matter and to keep rural schools open.  The protest in is response to the local public school boards Long Term Pupil Accommodation Review which included a recommendation to close and consolidate a number of school across the board

March 13, 2017 - The Kingston Frontenac Public Library offers a variety of March Break programming, including the Puppet Show Extravaganza: Imagine! with puppeteers Sarah Balint, left, and Brenda MacDonald that tell stories from around the world for youngsters like little seven month old Preston Epp, Caleb Kelly, age 4, and cousins Kyelar Bryant, age 9 and Mckayla Fox-Moore, age 4, at the Calvin Park Branch in Kingston, Ont. on Monday March 13, 2017. The first show of the day was full. The puppet show will be traveling to other branches throughout the week.
