A walk around Lemoine Point with my sister

My sister got some really good news this week, after a year of waiting, so as part of a planned surprise weekend I took her for a relaxing 2 hour walk through Lemoine Point Conservation Area.

We just walked, talked and just hung out taking photos of the locals, including: deer, squirrels, hairy woodpeckers, blue jays, white breasted nuthatches, chickadees, and more......

I love having such a natural treasure so close to home.

365 - March 2016

Lion/lamb or whatever - I just want a few days of solid sunlight

Things to look forward to in March:
- Not having to wear so many layers to just go outside
- Lots of fun activities coming up with my Girl Guide unit
- Daylight Savings starting on March 13 (more sunlight!)
- Easter with the family
- Starting to make summer plans
- maybe even getting back to the gym, maybe
- and more.....

Along with the runners breaking a few personal bests, the annual race reached a few records, with 186 runners participating in the 5 kilometre event on February 7, as well as raising more donations than in previous years. The Food Sharing Project provides nutrition meals and snacks to school children in 95 area Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington region.
