365 - September 2015

Back to school means more now that I'm the education reporter - got a few stories lined up.

September 1, 2015 - School buses are lined up and ready to go at Richard Hogan Enterprises for the start of the new school year on September 8, 2015
September 2, 2015 - Sophie Kiwala, member of provincial parliament for Kingston and the Islands, right, invites Minster of Labour Kevin Flynn to Kingston, Ont. on Wednesday September 2, 2015. to speak with local labour leaders to get first hand feedback on how things can improve in the fields of health and safety, job equity, violence prevention and more.
September 3, 2015 - Staff members from Mother Teresa Catholic School in Kingston, Ont., are working on Thursday September 3, 2015, on the finishing touches to get the school ready for the students return next week. The same thing is happening throughout the city.
September 4, 2015 - The weasel is released back into the wild, by a volunteer from Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre, near where is was found after recovering from an altercation with a cat in late August, in Kingston, Ont. on Friday September 4, 2015.

September 7, 2015 - Sophie was happy to be carried as her owners from the Public Service Alliance of Canada walked in the annual Labour Day Parade, which made it's way down Princess Street on Monday September 7, 2015 morning before stopping at City Hall and then walking back to McBurney park for the statutory holiday celebrations in Kingston, Ont.

September 14, 2015 - It's Smile Cookie time again with representatives from Kingston area Tim Horton's, University Hospitals Kingston Foundation and Kingston General Hospital kicking off the week-long campaign at the 1166 Division Street location in Kingston, Ont. on Monday September 14, 2015. Proceeds from all smile cookies sold locally between Sept. 14 to 20 will go to KGH's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

*EXTRA* September 22, 2015 - A single caucasian male, 20-30 years old, robbed the Scotiabank on Princess Street at Regent Street at knife point just before 4 p.m. in Kingston, Ont. on Tuesday September 22, 2015. The suspect fled with a large amount of cash and was reported to be wearing a red Montreal Canadiens hooded sweatshirt and black splash pants. He was last seen headed north towards Concession Street. No one was hurt in the robbery and the investigation is on-going.
